The trail to Playa de Dois Rios offers a unique experience that combines history, nature, and adventure. There are different options to get there:
Option 1: On Foot If you enjoy hiking, one option is to take the trail from Vila do Abraão to Playa de Dois Rios. The route is a medium-sized road used by UERJ vehicles, well-marked and approximately 9 km long on a dirt path, or 7 km if you take narrower shortcuts marked only by footprints. It crosses several natural landscapes, including beaches, waterfalls, and mountains. The hike can take between 2 and 3 hours, depending on your pace.
The most commonly used reference point is the start of the vehicle road. Once there, you just need to follow it to Playa de Dois Rios.

The beach is surrounded by two freshwater rivers, hence its name—the beach of two rivers—whose water is dark yet crystalline and refreshing to the touch.
Option 2: Super Sul Boat Tour The Super Sul boat tour passes by Playa de Dois Rios, but it depends on excellent sea conditions to navigate. It's common for this tour not to run in poor weather conditions.
Option 3: Private Boat Tour You also have the option to hire a private boat to reach and visit Playa de Dois Rios. The cost will depend on the vessel, the boatman, and any additional stops you'd like to add.
General Recommendations:
• Check weather conditions before departing
• Start early and return early (ideally leave before 8am and return by 3:30pm)
