~2 h · R$ 23, pay on board. The one that connects with the ferry leaves at 12:40.

Money

◆ There's no reliable ATM. Bring all the cash you'll need from the mainland, with a margin.
◆ Almost everywhere takes Pix and cards, but kiosks, boats and stalls are cash only.
◆ Tourism tax: have your booking and passport handy. The current fee is R$ 50.

The village

◆ There are no cars: everything on foot, by water taxi or cart. A backpack beats a suitcase.
◆ Cell signal dies outside the village: download the offline map before any trail and tell reception.
◆ Oct–Mar: calm seas, best for boats and snorkelling. May–Sep: dry and cool, best for trails. First day looks good? Book the Round-the-Island that day.
